Prepare the Learners
The class will review the previous math lesson and will participate in an icebreaker activity that will help transition to the main activity.
Provide the Learning Experiece
The teacher will address the students as a class and review the previous math comparison lesson. The teacher will open the lesson with a short YouTube video to help explain math comparison and the comparison symbols. After the video, the class will break up in to pairs to complete the icebreaker activity. After each pair has completed the icebreaker, they will form small groups of 4 participants to complete the salt, fat, and sugar content activity. The two groups will share their bar graphs and discuss the mathematical comparison of the cereal content data.
